Doctor's negligence is a type of medical malpractice (see medical malpractice section) and is the failure of a doctor to meet the standard of good medical care in the area in which the doctor practices. When a doctor fails to meet the standard of good medical practice and harm results to a patient, the doctor and his or her insurance company may be liable for any resulting damamges. |
