Hunter W. Carroll is an attorney and shareholder in the law firm of Matthews Eastmoore. A seventh-generation Floridian, Hunter was born and raised in Sarasota. He received his law degree, with honors, in 2000 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he also received the Book Award in Florida Constitutional Law. Known as a "Double Gator," the attorney received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with honors, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with honors, in 1997 from the University of Florida where he graduated as the Outstanding Male Leader. For two years after law school, Hunter had the privilege to serve as staff attorney to Justice Charles T. Wells, then Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court.
Since joining the law firm of Matthews Eastmoore, Hunter has practiced in the areas of business litigation, personal injury, and appellate law, providing legal services to both plaintiffs and defendants.
Hunter is a product of Sarasota's public school system, having attended Wilkinson Elementary, Pine View School, and Sarasota High School, where he graduated as valedictorian. As is a tradition among Matthews Eastmoore law firm attorneys, Hunter is dedicated to improving the community. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of Teen Court of Sarasota, Inc., a diversionary program for youthful offenders. Hunter continues to volunteer his time with Teen Court, which he has done since 1989. Since 2008, Hunter has served on the Statewide Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Sarasota County Bar Association and on the board of the association's Young Lawyers Division. Previously, Hunter served as editor of the bar association's publication, The Docket. Hunter's wife, Jessica, is also active in the community. |
